Michael O’Grady

Michael O'Grady

A man who provides living proof of the stereotyping of the residents of Merseyside, Michael joined the club as a recommendation of Luke Thomas which probably wasn’t the best start. A season of consistency in the Reserves, (consistently late, unavailable and not at training) was impressive enough to see him break through to the first XI.

Shy and modest, Michael describes his full-back play as being like the “Scouse Cafu”, has nicknamed himself “Mogba” and tells us often of his striking prowess, perfectly demonstrated in a pre-season friendly with Ascot, with a fine strike into the roof of his own net. Away from the Old Boys, Michael cleans cars for a living, but the company he works for is in a state of permanent confusion as to why none of the cars he cleans have any stereos in them afterwards.
