Kev was another work mate of Si Peat’s, dragged down to play when the Old Boys were struggling for numbers, who hung around to become an important member of the squad. Usually playing wide in midfield, Kev’s all action displays (when he hadn’t been on the sauce the night before) were a feature in the Reserves and occasionally in the firsts.
Off the pitch, Kev is a mighty fine golfer and unsurprisingly jointly won the 2008 Old Boys Golf Tournament, despite accusations of banditry and question marks about Rob Sutton’s driver. He also loved a drink or two, and was often to be seen out and about in the bars of Putney, drinking beer, chatting to women, then going home alone with a burger. Last seen cycling round Europe, the sudden burst of fitness has suggested he might return to the Old Boys at some point.
