Joe joined the Old Boys at the beginning of season 2011/12 having spent an outrageous amount of time scrounging off the hard working tax payers while he decided what to study. After a brief spell finding his feet in the Reserves, Joe burst onto the 1st Team scene, scoring enough goals to finish as top scorer in the club, which is no mean feat with perennial goal hanger Adam Norwood around. His contribution to the club also featured a high number of fines as Joe found that referees were rather unsympathetic to his on-pitch observations.
Part of a new era of Old Boy…smart, sophisticated, sharp sense of fashion (except the ridiculous top-knot) and prone to tantrums if things don’t go his way. Originally commuting to training and games from his native Essex, Joe can now be found more locally, usually propping up the bar of the Armstrong Gun, while working to become fitter than he has ever been before.
