The first Royal Holloway Old Boys FC Quiz Night successfully took place on Saturday 4th March at The Armstrong Gun.
The victorious team, Slightly Less Mobile (Stu, Toby and Gary Norwood) used their “experience” to win by a 14 point margin from their nearest challengers Sam Meadows Bathtime (Elliott, Adam, Rich and Sam), and Menage Attreed (Mr & Mrs Attreed and Dave). Disastrous performance from Pray for Gilmour (Sky Sports Paul, Sky Sports Steve and Sky Sports Tom Daley), whose worrying lack of knowledge on football, Old Boys history, getting around London, or really anything cost them. On the plus side, they could recognise Albert Square from a helicopter.
For the information of Sky Sports Paul, Hernán Crespo scored 20 Premier League goals, a long way short of Sergio Agüero’s 113.
Pick of the raffle was the absent Abbas Hussain winning a kettle, “…just what I need” he later commented.
Slightly Less Mobile – 56
Sam Meadows Bathtime – 42
Menage Attreed – 41
Pray for Gilmour – 32
