The 2017 Royal Holloway Old Boys Golf Day took place on Friday 28th April 2017 at Pineridge Golf Club in Surrey. The day involved 18 holes in the morning including competitions for longest drive and nearest the pin, 9 hole Texas Scramble in the afternoon, food, banter, and plenty of players dropping their trousers after being unable to hit past the ladies tee.
The day was expertly organised by Club President Gary Norwood. Curt “Tiger” Watts, on his Old Boys Masters debut, was the winner of the 18 hole competition, holding off the challenges of Dave McGregor and Jeff The Cat. Jeff made do with winning the longest drive competition, and Gary was nearest the pin. Rob Attreed resisted the temptation to go round wearing his favourite crocs (although his choice of footwear was still highly questionable), but our hero to make do with the wooden spoon – we are assured this had nothing to do with his questionable bottle of coke.
Enjoy some photos and action from the day (and plenty of trousers round ankles/knees videos with MOG commentary).
Well done all, and we look forward to next year’s competition.
