Report:

The Reserves suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the leaders Tooting Bec on a sunny but fresh afternoon at Nobles. It was always a tough ask with a weakened side, but after some good work in training during the week, the Old Boys kept the visitors at bay for much of the opening period, but fell behind when failing to close down the man on the edge of the box who finished low into the bottom corner. When again allowing too much space, the visitors went two ahead, a third and fourth were added quickly as the home side lost their shape.

After some half-time discussion the Old Boys came out with renewed fight and again began the half well, but allowed a free header to give Tooting a fifth goal, but pulled one back with an impressive move involving the returning Ginner and finished well by Danny on his debut. With the home side looking to regain some pride they played with a better tempo but were hit on the break for number six, were slower to a rebound for number seven, and again failed to close a man down for number eight with the final kick of the game.

Another tough game next week at home to Worcester Park.
