Chessington KC
Royal Holloway Old Boys

Match Details

Scorers: Morsia, Balson-Scales 2, O’Grady, Grierson

Two goals in eight and a half minutes of injury time gave the Old Boys their biggest away win of the season.

Chessington KC took an early lead as the away team didn’t switch on at a short free kick. Elliott Morsia scored the equaliser when he charged down the home goalkeeper’s kick and the ball rebounded into the net. Keith Balson-Scales then gave the Old Boys the lead before half-time after good work on the right.

A purposeful Chessington came out in the second half but it was the visitors who scored again in fortunate fashion as Michael O’Grady’s mis-hit volley ballooned over the keeper.

Chessington were awarded a questionable penalty as the game was drawing to a close which they converted. As evening fell the Old Boys scored twice in injury time. Keith scored his second of the game after good work from Sean Grierson who then added a fifth in his first appearance of the season. Keith’s recent goalscoring run is now four goals in three and a half games, which compares well to fellow midfielder Rob Attreed’s three goals in three and a half seasons!

The Old Boys and Chessington meet for a third time next month in the County Cup, and the team face Reigate Priory next Saturday.
