Match Details

Scorers: Balson-Scales, Cobb (p), OG

Royal Holloway Old Boys won their fourth consecutive game, a 3-2 victory over a determined Laleham team on a typical autumn day, following an immaculately observed minutes silence for Remembrance Day.

The Old Boys had to dig in with the visitors putting the home side under pressure all over the pitch. It took until the 30th minute for Keith to open the scoring for the Old Boys after a good run from Craig and a header back across the goal from Harry. The half ended with Laleham being reduced to ten men.

The Old Boys started the second half positively as a penalty for Harry and an OG gave the home side what seemed a comfortable lead. However, the Old Boys conceded a poor goal with 20 minutes left. Then, with two substitutions already made and after 8 unused subs appearances this season, the manager threw himself on up front – to make no impact at all. The Old Boys did concede a second goal, but held on to take the points.

The 1st XI are now away for three games in a row, starting against Chessington KC.
