Match Details

Scorers: Gilmour, Morsia 2

Royal Holloway Old Boys bounced back from last week’s disappointment with a win against 2014 Elite League Champions NPL FC.

Due to the windy conditions it was difficult for two teams wanting to play football to get going and the Old Boys did well against the wind in the first half until the 44th minute when NPL pounced on a loose ball and scored.

The Old Boys started the 2nd half with the wind at their backs, a well worked goal from Paul Gilmour early in the half and Elliott Morsia tapping into an empty net gave the advantage to the home team. It seemed that the Old Boys were in control but again NPL broke and a pin point cross allowed the visitors to level the game.

Elliott Morsia scored his second after good work from Abdul and even though NPL put the Old Boys under pressure in the last 10 minutes, the home side took all 3 points.

We look forward to visiting NPL later in the season and wish them well.
